Katherine Miller, D.V.M.

Practice Owner

Dr. Kathy Miller was born and raised on the Palouse and is very happy to have her family here! She completed her undergraduate career at the University of Idaho and graduated from Washington State University for Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She did move south to attend school, but returned for her husband's job.

Dr. Miller really enjoys the small town feel of Moscow and Pullman with the strong influence from the universities. She, her husband Jim, and their four children (Zachary, Sydney, Nathaniel, and Brianna) love the plethora of outdoor activities available on the Palouse.

The greatest influence in Dr. Miller's career would be Dr. & Mrs. Kubasch, who she purchased the practice from!

     

Matthew Mason, D.V.M.

Dr. Matt Mason grew up in Spokane, Washington and completed his bachelors degree at Whitworth College, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He is a 2008 graduate from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Mason and his wife Allison are very happy to be raising their two children here. They have a little boy, Zachary, and a daughter, Julianna.

His greatest passions are spending quality time with his family and volunteering at church. He enjoys outdoor recreational activities, including hiking and fishing. Dr. Mason is an amateur wood worker as well. He enjoys making simple furniture for his home, as well other various wood projects.

Dr. Mason is passionate about internal medicine cases. It is exciting for him to make a diagnosis and be able to solve problems for his clients and their pets. He really enjoys the clients and the satisfaction he achieves by helping them when they are in need.


Veterinary Technicians



Jessie McCleary, L.V.T.

Jessie grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and moved to the Palouse for a change of scenery. She received her Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Veterinary Technology, with a minor in Agricultural Production in 2001 from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. She has worked at PAWS for over ten years.

Jessie is highly involved in her community. She is a volunteer fire fighter in Albion and Colfax, an EMT, and a CPR instructor. Jessie is also a member of the Rolling Hills Derby Dames and enjoys playing softball in her free time.

Jessie is passionate about ensuring our clients pets enjoy long and healthy lives. She is interested in emergency medicine, anesthesia, and surgery. Jessie enjoys educating and interacting with our clients.

Jessie has two dogs; Phyllis and Chili, and a hedgehog named Minion.

Michelle Stockton, L.V.T.

Michelle grew up in New Jersey and moved to Boise, Idaho to be closer to family. After earning her degree in Veterinary Technology from the College of southern Idaho in 2014, she moved to Moscow to continue her education.

Michelle is passionate about helping animals when they are sick and helping clients keep their pets happy and healthy. She loves being an LVT because there is always more to learn and no two days are ever the same.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, camping, and hiking. She is always up for an adventure! Michelle is active in her community and is part of a group that hosts dinners, bible studies, and activites for international students attending UI and WSU.

Michelle has two pets; a big fluffy cat named Hank, and a dog named Ollie. Someday she hopes to own a pet capybara.


 


Veterinary Assistants



Kylee Wiggins

Kylee grew up in Lewiston, Idaho and moved to Moscow in 2010 to attend the University of Idaho. She graduated in December 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Resources.

Kylee is passionate about the opportunity to give animals the highest care possible. She is very excited to work around other people who are as enthusiastic about animals as herself. Kylee enjoys volunteering at WSU Small Mammal Research Facility with pygmy rabbits and the WSU Raptor Club.

Her favorite past time is spending time with her family and animals. She also enjoys hiking, biking, bird watching, looking for wildlife, and going to the gym.

Misty Reavis

Misty moved to Pullman from Longview, Washington to attend Washington State University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in May 2015.

She enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is passionate about music and has played the drums since she was eleven years old. In her free time she prefers to be home watching a movie, reading a book, or playing with her pets.

Misty likes helping people and making a difference in people's lives.  She has a calico cat named Alice and a German Shepherd named Gunner. 


Technician Assistants


Meisha Moro

Meisha moved to Pullman in 2014 from Chelan, Washington to attend Washington State University. She has an Associates degree in Biology from Olympic College and a Bachelor of Science degree from WSU in Zoology with the pre-vet option.

Meisha is passionate about improving the lives of animals. What excites her most about this profession is the process of treating and healing animals. She is excited about the constant opportunities to learn more about veterinary techniques and improve her skills. She finds the process of utilizing knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat an unhealthy animal, witness the animal improve, and then make a full recovery very intriguing.

In her free time she enjoys relaxing at home with her boyfriend and cat or adventuring outside to enjoy the wildlife and fresh air. Meisha enjoys volunteering and is part of a veterinary team that makes annual trips to Mulege, Mexico to provide veterinary medical and surgical care for the animals in their community.

She has a handsome DSH Tuxedo cat named Norman that she adopted from a shelter where she worked and volunteered. He was a very sick kitten she helped treat and care for as a patient until she realized she didn't want to let go.


Randi Pollack

Randi grew up in Seattle, Washington and graduated from Potlatch High School. She loved volunteering at the Idaho Human Society in Boise, and in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Randi loves being around others who love taking care of animals. She takes pride in knowing that she has made a difference in the lives of the animals that we care for, as well as the pet parents.

Randi is a full time mommy, and loves spending time with her son, Chase. She also has a dog named Kein.

Meagan Palmer

Meagan grew up in Spokane, Washington. She moved to Troy after getting married in November 2014. Meagan has many years of grooming experience. She has been grooming since 2006.

Meagan is passionate about grooming and loves to make the pet feel clean and healthy. She likes to see how much better they feel after their grooming experience. 

Family is very important to Meagan, she has four brothers and one sister whom she enjoys spending time with. In her free time, Meagan enjoys being outside in God's creation, riding horses, hiking, or just sitting by a river. 

Meagan has three pets; Winston is a Yorkie, Rev is a Border Collie/Chow mix, and Karma is a Calico cat.

Sabrina Stenzel

Sabrina grew up in a military family and moved around a lot. She considers Washington State to be her home. Sabrina moved to Moscow so her husband, Aaron could take classes at the University of Idaho. They decided to stay in Moscow because it is a great place to raise kids. They have three children; Kayla, Cherise, and Madison.

Sabrina is passionate about making sure there is positive communication between herself, her coworkers, and our clients. She really enjoys organization, learning new skills or information, and problem solving. She is thrilled to be working at PAWS where she likes interacting with and helping people.

In her free time, Sabrina enjoys taking walks and doing art projects. She has three dogs; Paige (Foxhound/boxer), Charlie (Cheweenie), and TJ (Shitzu). Sabrina also has two hamsters named Steve and Dinosaur.

Christa Ryan

Christa grew up on the east coast, but moved to the area when her father retired from the Navy, looking for a cozy community to raise his family.

After graduating from New Saint Andrews College with her B.A. in Liberal Arts, she's loved diverse lines of work from in-home caregiving, book publicity, event managing for her alma mater, and more recently, working as sales and events manager at a Portland wedding venue.
She moved back to the area after her sweetheart proposed. She and her new husband live with their big fuzz pup, India, and love to adventure out camping, biking, and traveling to the coast when time allows.
Having always grown up with dogs, cats, horses, and alpacas, Christa can't imagine a day apart from animals and is thrilled to be at PAWS helping other pet owners receive excellent care for their fur friends! 


Katelyn Cohee

Katelyn moved to Pullman after graduating high school in Olympia, WA in 2009. She grew up mainly on a farm in Desmet, Idaho where she participated in many 4H projects including: pigs, horses, and dogs. Katelyn plans to attend veterinary school in a few years when her husband has completed his degree.

Katelyn loves animals and always dreamed of working in a vet clinic. She is passionate about dogs and helping them stay happy and healthy. 

In her free time, she enjoys playing outside with her daughter Haylee, hiking, horseback riding, and spending time by the lake in the summer. Katelyn has three dogs; Harley, Milou, and Molly.

    


Alexis Hazelwood


Alexis moved to Pullman in 2013 from Bellingham, WA to attend Washington State University. She graduated in December 2015 with a 

Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. Alexis hopes to attend 

WSU Veterinary School of Medicine and become a small animal veterinarian.

Alexis enjoys hiking and horse back riding in her free time. She loves volunteering at the Whitman County Humane Society, whom she also fosters cat and kittens through. She has raised puppies through Guide Dogs for the Blind kept her last puppy who was dropped from the program due to separattion anxiety. Alexis also volunteers with Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship and absolutely loves it!

Alexis has a black Lab named Wailani and a cat named Agnus.


Office Manager



Dani Curliss

 

Dani grew up in Clinton, Montana but has lived in Moscow since 2014. She is passionate about developing team members and providing training to ensure the clients have the best experience, while making sure the office runs efficiently.

Dani loves spending time with her husband, Ben, and children, Kylie and Austin. They love geocaching and spending time at the lake. Dani has two dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, a cat named Elliette, and a guinea pig named Dolly.

  

Spencer

Spencer was found on Spence Road in Moscow by a former PAWS employee. He enjoys taking long leisurely naps in Dr. Miller's office. His favorite part of the day is when the Fed Ex driver stops by. Spencer sits by the door about the same time everyday waiting for a treat from the Fed Ex driver!
