Microchipping
Microchipping is a simple, safe, and effective way to help ensure your pet can be identified and returned to you if they ever become lost. At Palouse Animal Wellness and Surgery, we offer quick and painless microchipping for dogs and cats during a regular appointment or in combination with other services. The microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is implanted just beneath the skin and contains a unique identification number that can be read by a scanner at shelters or veterinary clinics.
Unlike collars or tags, a microchip can’t fall off or be removed, giving you added peace of mind that your pet has a permanent form of identification.
